Citra is an unincorporated community on US 301, founded in 1881 in a citrus-growing district.
It is known as the home of the pineapple orange, a name James B. Owens coined in 1883.
That is the part a generic quote misses. Two houses with identical square footage, one in Citra and one elsewhere in the service area, can sit in different rating territories, different flood zone determinations and different carrier appetites.
